Auctions sales conditions

All lots are guaranteed to be authentic and signed on request. Individual lots, priced over 250 Euros, can on request be accompanied by a "La Maison du Timbre" photographic certificate. Photographic reproductions serve as a description for the condition of the serrations, margins and centering.

Bids are denominated in Euros and must be rounded to Euros; we don't take pennies into account. The lot is awarded to the highest bid and to the first bid received in the event if equal bids. The allocation price is established by taking as a basis the offer coming immediately after the highest offer and increasing it by 5%.

Example: for the same lot, we record 3 bids of 500 €, 800 € and 1000 €. The prize will be awarded at 800 € + 5%, i.e. 840 € to the person who offered 1000 €. In case the difference between the 2 highest bids is less than 5%, the price is that of the highest bid. In the case of a single offer, the 5% calculation is made in relation to the minimum price.

The list of results is sent to subscribers within 8 days of the auction. It should allow you to note the prizes you have obtained. For reasons of discretion, we do not send an individual list indicating the prizes obtained by each. If you have any doubts, do not hesitate to call us ...
The unsold lots are put up for sale in the days following the close of the auction. They can be sent in letter, email or by telephone. If there are several requests for the same lot, the first one received wins.

Invoices are established in Euros. The payment of the lots must take place upon receipt of our invoice for new customers who have not given us references or upon receipt of the lots sent by post for regular clients. Payment is made when ordering by credit card (by telephone, in complete security, at +33 4 91 33 76 16 or +33 6 10 48 30 51), by bank transfer, by PayPal transfer or by check (for France only). We ask those who are not already in business with us to provide us with philatelic references from known dealers.

The purchaser does not pay any charges outside of the shipping package in addition to the price. The lots are sent by registered mail (with insurance). They remain our property until full payment. Any shipment will include a flat-rate invoiced amount of 6 € for France and 10 € for abroad corresponding to the postage, insurance, packaging and shipping of the list results. For large packages, the actual postage will be charged. We may be forced to delay the auction in the event of postal strikes, please contact our services for new dates.

Any complaints must be made within 5 days of receipt of the prizes. After this period, the complaint will not be accepted. No complaints are accepted for compound lots and collections. In the event of an error in the description or numbering of a lot, it will simply be refunded or deducted from the total amount of the invoice. La Maison du Timbre does not make any commitment to supply stamps described or mentioned in error in the catalog. In the event of a dispute, the Marseille Commercial Court alone has jurisdiction.
